Sometimes you may want to create an embroidered garment and may not have suitable art for it. Maybe you’re creating apparel for a choir or cheerleader group or band or sports team and don’t have the right graphics for it. What do you do?
One option is to ask us. We have volumes filled with pre-digitized embroidery clip art. Perhaps we will have something to fit the bill. (It’s worth it to note that we have a huge supply of national vorporation logos already digitized for embroidery. If you work for a national company we may have the logo you need.)
Another option is to shop for pre-digitized embroidery clip art. When you find a graphic you would like to use, call us. Let us know which site you found it on and what the item number is. We’ll take it from there. These are particularly suitable for embroidering for gifts with artistically rendered designs.
We recommend these two sites:
A third option is to create your own art. This option costs more but may help you get exactly what you are looking for. It’s to have an art file you already have (logo, line art, etc.) converted into an embroidery file. Most of our customers go this route because they want to use their logos and graphics.
Use clip art. If you don’t already have art there are great options for finding royalty-free clip art on the web. One such service is this one. They have millions of pieces of art that can be used as is or edited to better suit your needs. We find it best to work with vector art because it is easy to re-size without any loss in quality.
The process would be to download the art and then have you or your designer create a file exactly as you would like it to be embroidered. When you’re done creating, save it as a jpg, email it to us, and we will have it digitized into an embroidery file.
